Massimiliano Allegri has hinted he is not going to do too much of business this winter.
According to Allegri, he doesn’t think there is any requirement for Juventus to rope in new players as the squad is already in pretty good shape.
Juventus, which has won the top flight in Italy for the last 4 seasons on the trot, had had a patchy beginning to their current campaign.
They lost 4 out of their first 10 games in the season and were pushed down to the lower half in the points table, but, they came back to secure 7 successive wins thereafter to move up in the table and they now seem to be all set to push for another title.
They have started the New Year by crushing Hellas Verona by 3-0 at home.
Talking to the press post that game, a happy looking Allegri was quoted as saying, “We have been performing well in all departments. So, I don’t feel I need to make additions to the squad at this point of time.”
When asked about the rumours of Simone Zaza’s departure, the boss said, “It’s hard to understand why there’s so much of talk about it. I mean when there’re 4 or 5 skilled attackers in the squad, everyone has to earn his place. There can’t be any certainty.”
“I do have regular chats with Simone. He knows how vital he’s to the club and he’s willing to improve. We want him to stay.”
Zaza, the Italy International, who came to Juventus last July, has got to play only 8 matches so far.
The other signing that Allegri had made in the summer, Mario Mandzukic, he has got more opportunities and he is starting to blossom as well.
